Problems with your Android smartphone are more likely than you might think. Now these problems will range in the problems they cause, but don’t worry, many of them can be simply fixed with relative ease and in just a few minutes. Perhaps the biggest worry when it comes to these problems, is when it escalates so much that your Android device simply doesn’t turn on. It happens from time to time, and while it can be scary, there are a series of ways you can look to fix it. Learning how to diagnose and fix an Android phone that won’t turn on is relatively simple, and requires you to simply learn a series of button combinations, which can vary from Android phone to Android phone. These should help reset your Android software and kick your phone into action. In the following tutorial, we’ll show you what to do if your Android device won’t turn on.
Step 1: First plug in your Android device to a wall charger, and leave it for a few minutes. At this point, you should see the empty battery icon appear. If it doesn’t this is a bad sign your device is faulty.
Step 2: Now hold down both volume buttons, as well as the power button. Do this for a few seconds. In some cases, this should instantly start your Android device.
Step 3: As a backup, hold the volume up button, alongside the camera button (if applicable). Once again, this will reset and reboot the software. If this doesn’t work, try our last combination.
Step 4: The final attempt should be to hold down the power and home button for 10 seconds. If your device still doesn’t turn on, it’s time to look at getting your device repaired.
Unfortunately these fixes won’t work all the time, but they are a relatively good solution for most devices.
