Unfortunately, there’s plenty of ways that users can accrue extra charges on top of their existing smartphone contract. One of the most costly is data roaming, which generates millions in extra charges every year. While not as expensive as roaming charges, delivery reports can also hike up your bill without you knowing. Delivery reports are messages that are sent to you to confirm that your text message has been sent correctly. While it’s undoubtedly a handy feature to have, it does in fact add an extra charge to your bill with every delivery report you receive. However, it’s easy to disable Moto G5 SMS delivery reports in just a few seconds. Use our steps below and we’ll have this money-grabbing option disabled in no time at all.
Step 1: Open up the Messages app on your Android device and select the menu icon that’s located at the top right of the app.
Step 2: On the drop-down menu that is now shown, press on the Settings tab option. From there, select the More Settings option.
Step 3: The final step is to select the Text Messages option, before toggling the Delivery Reports option to off that sits at the top. In some cases, this option will be listed at the bottom of the menu, so make sure to scroll down if you can’t find it.
As soon as you’ve followed the steps to disable Moto G5 SMS delivery reports, you’ll stop receiving them. If you’ve been caught out by these reports before, pay close attention to the steps we provide. Of course, if you’re struggling to find these options on your Moto G5 Android phone, feel free to ask questions in the comment section below.
